Recovery Right Where You Are
Outpatient Addiction Rehab Treatment Near Huntsville, AL
What Happens During Bradford at Madison’s Outpatient Program?
Outpatient care is a flexible program for substance abuse rehabilitation. IOP sessions can be held virtually, individually, and in a hybrid in-person and online class. Through the Bradford Health System, our professionals could place you in an IOP program at locations in Huntsville, Florence, Birmingham, Mobile, and Montgomery or can be attended in parts of TennesseeBradford at Madison’s IOP service can also be offered in conjunction with our partial hospitalization program (PHP).
Patients don’t need to live or spend the night at the facility while in IOP. While enrolled in outpatient care, they attend morning or evening treatment sessions during the week. These sessions can be attended when convenient for your lifestyle while living at home. The treatment and therapy involved in outpatient rehab are like inpatient treatment, but less demanding in terms of forgoing life responsibilities. Our IOP program can be ideal for certain pregnant or working people that are seeking recovery.
Please contact us 24/7 and we will work with you to see if the Madison outpatient program is right for you.

How Intensive Outpatient Rehab (IOP) Works
Intensive outpatient rehab is drug rehabilitation for recovering addicts that is designed for sobriety through flexible care during the day rather than around-the-clock services. This means you don’t live at the facility where you receive rehab care. Instead, you attend therapy sessions during the day and return to your home when you’re finished.
Although outpatient rehab is more flexible than inpatient care, it still involves intense therapy and treatment sessions. You’ll do many of the same things that you would do in inpatient settings and care is administered by medical and addiction professionals. Common treatments and therapies performed in outpatient therapy include:
Group Therapy
Individual Counseling
Family Support Groups (Virtually)
Education Sessions
The primary goal of intensive outpatient rehab is to help you start adjusting back to your normal life following an addiction. It can be more successful when you go to outpatient rehab following a stint at an inpatient facility, but IOP is often done first without completing an inpatient program.
Going to outpatient rehab after attending inpatient therapy can reduce the chances of relapse. In fact, between 40% and 60% of people who go through a rehabilitation program to overcome their addiction will relapse at one point or another. Outpatient care can help keep you from joining this statistic, as it reduces your chance of relapsing after going through detox and recovery.
What Addictions are Treated in IOP Care?
As with inpatient facilities, outpatient rehab centers focus on helping individuals overcome substance abuse and addictions. Depending on the rehabilitation facility you choose, you can treat nearly any addiction in an outpatient setting that you can in an inpatient setting. Common addictions treated with IOP care include:
Prescription Drugs
Methamphetamines
Heroin
Barbituates
Benzodiazepines
Opioids
Alcohol
Fentanyl
Halucinogens
Please note that, depending on the substance and severity of use, a medically assisted treatment (MAT) period at the Madison facility may be required for safe detoxing. This is because of the dangers involved while detoxing from heroin, opioids, barbiturates, alcohol, and other substances.

How to Find Out if Your Insurance Will Pay for IOP Care

Can You Still Have IOP Care if You Don’t Have Insurance?
While insurance will often cover all or part of your IOP care, this isn’t always the case. However, if you don’t have health insurance or your insurance doesn’t help with IOP care, you shouldn’t let that keep you from the care you need to make a full and lasting recovery from addiction. Bradford at Madison offers self-pay payment plans to make paying for your care more affordable.
